1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. We use Supabase Auth for secure authentication.

Conversation data: Your conversations with Sterling are stored to provide continuity across sessions. This includes messages, uploaded files, and any business context you share.

Usage data: We collect anonymized analytics data including page views, feature usage, and session information to improve the product.

Payment information: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never store your credit card details on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the MarketingChief service
• To personalize your experience with Sterling, including remembering your business context across conversations
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, billing notifications)
• To analyze aggregate usage patterns and improve the product

3. AI and Your Data

Your conversations with Sterling are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI. Your conversation data is sent to Anthropic's API for processing and is subject to Anthropic's privacy policy. Anthropic does not use API-submitted data to train their models.

We do not sell your conversation data or use it to train any AI models. Your business information shared with Sterling stays within your account.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (built on PostgreSQL) with row-level security enabled. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — Authentication and data storage
• Stripe — Payment processing
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI conversation processing
• Google Analytics — Anonymized usage analytics
• Vercel — Application hosting

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We also use Google Analytics cookies to understand usage patterns. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Delete your account and all associated data (available in Account settings)
• Export your conversation history
• Opt out of non-essential analytics

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data including conversations, feedback, and usage records are permanently deleted.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the application.
